In order to meet up with her sister and her husband, who live in politically unstable Zimbabwe, Emily travels on her own to Zanzibar. Her biggest mistake is to accept the charming words of a French trader who offers her a free ride in a yacht in return for her services as a crew member. This man turns out to be a drug dealer, and after being exposed by the sheikh, the trader offers Emily as a gift! The sheikh thinks she is a prostitute, and her attempts to convince him otherwise fall on deaf ears. And now, she finds herself held captive in the luxurious palace...!

Traded to The Sheikh Harlequin comics eBook EMMA DARCY MEGUMI TODA Megumi Toda

This was a fairly light, quick read, about a young woman who ends up crewing a ship that is owned by a drug runner. When the crew is arrested oversees, she is implicated, however the local Sheikh who finds her attractive decides to test her.

Like most Harlequin manga, Traded to the Sheikh is pretty badly abridged. So, most of the story is cut out. While there was nothing wrong with this story, neither did it really have much detail. The hero was nice and decent, he tried to help the heroine, and the heroine offers herself to him as his bedmate, which leads to him thinking she isn't interested. The romance is nearly non-existant as these two like eachother from the start, and there really isn't much to their lovestory beyond him helping find her family.

I felt the art was subpar in this book. The faces are childishly drawn, and compared to other HQ manga looked a bit amateurish. I've read better, and while it wasn't awful it wasn't all that great either.

Traded to The Sheikh Harlequin comics eBook EMMA DARCY MEGUMI TODA Megumi Toda Reviews

ISN'T Joel's review cute and nice...but anyway liked it simple quick read, is it worth it yes it kind of reminds me of a historical romance novel being his captive because its kind of rear to read about captive and trade in modern romance novels

ABOUT BOOK

Who dares trespass on Sheikh Zageo's palace on the exotic island of Zanzibar? Zageo demands that the intruder be brought before him!

Emily Ross is appalled to find she's the sheikh's prisoner. To prove her innocence she needs Zageo's help. If the price is giving herself to him, then it's one she'll have to pay....
Warning potential spoilers ahead not your typical harlequin in that the heroine is a widow who was married for a few years to a guy she really loved. She is trying to get to her sister and makes the mistake of getting a ride on a boat of criminals. Bad things could have happened but she swims ashore and there is the typical mix up of the hero not believing that she isn't the belly dancing lover of the sleazy captain. He believes her story more or less but instead of asking for his help with her sister she puts on one of the belly dancing costumes and offers herself up to him in order to "buy" passage to her sister. This was stupid and contrived - she didn't even try to ask nicely and he was even ready to help her out. There entire relationship is tainted by the idea that she is just buying his help with sex and then when things become more serious for him she never really understands. The hero nearly sacrifices himself to save her family and blah blah happy ending. Not terrible, but not a heroine that I was ever able to connect with or care about.
I really liked this story but I didn't like that it ended so soon. I would have liked more of it.
This story moves well and is very entertaining. It was romantic and contained a attractive leading man. What more could you ask!
Very good
Some elements of the story don't make sense, like the time zone thing with Australia and I was a little irritated that the Hero was a megalomanic control freak (seemingly); however, it was a good story in the end and worth reading.
I liked this and the author. I just wished I could get my favourite book by Emma Darcy on ebook. The Sheikhs Revenge is a book I reread on a regular basis but its not available on ebook. My dearest wish is that will eventually release it on ebook.
