The Story of Evil Volume I Heroes of the Siege edition by Tony Johnson Religion Spirituality eBooks

Follow the life of Stephen Brightflame, a courageous and plucky jouster-turned-knight on a wild journey wrought with struggle, complete with strong-willed allies and close calls. From the first chapter, the story pulls you into their world, and you become a part of the realm where dragons and anthropomorphic creatures become commonplace. Speaking from a standpoint outside of the story itself, the stylizing used in this particular author's writing style is perfect for the way they tell it, giving appropriate buildup and spacing to make the reader absolutely have to turn the page to see "How's Steve gonna get out of this one?". In the midst of painting a beautiful world in your head as if you were watching a movie, you are in the same breath, swiftly reminded of the gritty reality that the land of Element is subject to. Regardless of these hardships, one thing you were always certain of while reading is that Stephen finds a way to carry on. The grief isn't exclusive to Brightflame, as his companions are no stranger to loss, vengeance, and a white-hot flame of determination that drives them to keep fighting. Where their lives and complications differ from one another, the common theme they all share is their ability to strive through and come out stronger than before. Tony Johnson is without doubt an excellent wordsmith, and any nerd reader worth their salt would easily find themselves turning pages with his work that I personally feel rivals even Tolkien themselves. This is the sort of story that can make even the most common person feel inspired, as though they themselves could take on the world with enough luck, willpower, a magically-imbued sword, and one really, really durable horse.
This is one series I'll be sure to continue, especially with an ending cliffhanger like that.

The Story of Evil Volume I Heroes of the Siege edition by Tony Johnson Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

I was extremely Impressed with this story. I found myself engrossed from the first page. The action never stopped and the story line was so riveting that I had to read it in one day, now I just need to know when the next book is due. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good book.
This is a nice fantasy story about good versus evil. The story focuses on Celestial, a city of good filled with good people. But it is attacked by monsters, agents of the god of evil. Before the citizens realize what is going on, they are overrun by the monsters and taken over by the Hooded Figure that leads them. Of course, there is a traitor in their midst as well.

I think this would be a good story for young adults and any who like basic good versus evil stories. There was just one hang up for me. The story focuses on three characters, but when it changed to a different character, it went back in time (so to speak) to the beginning of the invasion. That just confused me a bit, especially when it first happened. once I figured it out, then I was able to read through the rest of the book just fine.

I do have to give the author cudos for writing a book where the only event is the invasion and battle of Celestial. The entire story takes place during this one important event. That alone makes this story stand out to me because most novels have a whole slew of events, battles, or things that happen.

All in all, this is a good story.
Mr. Johnson has created a great story and kept me interested and excited through ever pulse-pounding action-packed sentence.
The book is paced well and I'm very excited to see the next book in the series. The book features memorable characters and a great storyline which make this book definitely worth your time and money.
Purchase it this very instant!!!!
The literary world is filled with more fantasy novels than you can shake a stick, or a Brightflame at. This first novel from Mr. Johnson tries, and succeeds, at doing what so many fantasy novelists try to do build an interesting world, with interesting people, heroes and ideas.

He has interesting ideas on magic and limits them so not everyone has immense power and those that do are villains whom you want to see heroes rise up and overcome dangerous odds.

There are twists throughout the story and some harken to George R.R Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. And unlike Martin he doesn't waste time setting up the senario and getting to the point. I like shorter fantasy due to so many things to do with my time and this book was perfect for getting in and out with no muss and no fuss of long winded explanations and world building. He gives you what you need to know and gets to the actions. I'm sure the sequels will build upon the world of Element and its heroes contained within. I for one cannot wait to jump back into the action, literally.
This is a book that should appeal to all ages, but children aged 12 and under will definitely love it, keeping them on the edge of their seats. It's a sort of 'The Lord of the Rings' meets `Chronicles of Narnia' mashup, with many of the best elements of each book. The descriptions of the different characters and creatures in the book are superbly done.

I thought the story little too long, but the story held my interest throughout - I desperately wanted to find out how Steve, Kari and Ty would outrun the villains.
The twists and turns of the story, the `Map of the Element', and much more helped to hold my attention right through the journey. I always like referring to maps in books, seeing how far one place or realm is from another and the illustrations in the book really helped in this.

Will have to wait for the next installment of the series though for it really leaves you hanging and wanting more. Good, but please keep it a tad shorter next time.
