I found out had read this story before must have been on a book of novellas. Gavin and another knight came upon a man being already robbed and appeared on the verge of being killed. They fought off the robbers. The man told them they could have anything they wanted from him. Gavin was told when he finally came for one of the daughters that he was never told that. The father did not even think that they saved him His memory was not good since the death of his wife,. Gavin not trusting the man took Estella with him in the middle of the night.She was not his first choice but he really did not care he only wanted a mother for Rose, This a short novels there was a twist in the story. I agree the ending seemed rushed .

When Sir Gavin the Bold and his companion Ulric come across a band of thieves robbing Baron Clifton de Leraye they think nothing of making short work of them and saving the Baron. The Baron promises Gavin anything he wants to should his appreciation. Upon learning the Baron has three daughters Gavin says he wants to take one to be his wife.

Since the promise was made Gavin goes to The Baron's estate to collect his wife. He chooses Lady Estella but finds the father plans to renege on the promise so he kidnaps her.

As Estella journeys back to Sir Gavin's castle she finds herself falling in love with this stranger. She believes he is hiding something from her but cannot curb her attraction for him. Sir Gavin finds himself so enamored by her that he can't think straight.

This book was pure romance at its best. The simplicity of the characters feeling so drawn to each other was well crafted by this author. I would recommend this book to readers of all ages. It was a heartwarming tale...
I know it's difficult to successfully wrap up a short story but perhaps the author should have gone for a longer format. I wasn't convinced the main characters could have fallen in love so quickly. The premise of the story was a little thin too. Basically the H saves the h's father from outlaws and promises the H anything he wants. He hears that the father has 3 daughters and he insists on marrying one of them. The father later denies what happened and so the story continues with the H 'stealing' the h away from the father.

There was definitely potential and as I say if the author had chosen to make this a longer book, I think the story could have worked well. The positive side is that this is a clean story with no sex.
The story was good. It was vulgar in parts. The book was not llsted as trash, but I don't like to read about the man's body and how the woman affects him. Which is what happened in this story. There is no sex but you read what he has said and what he wants to do to her. Which he says is not his style. I'd like to read an adventure without that kind of information in it.
I loved this novella! The characters drew me in immediately, they were well developed and easily likable. The chemistry and tension made my heart flutter and almost brought tears to my eyes. My only regret is that it wasn't longer, I wanted to see more of this romance develop.
I can't wait to read more from this author.

This novella was wonderful. I almost read it in 1 day but work got in the way. I can't wait for her next book. The characters were well developed and realized their attraction from the beginning. They just had their trials before their happy everafter.
Saving a nobleman from thieves, a knight requests one of his daughters as his wife. Abducting the oldest daughter before the wedding who volunteered to go, the knight returns to his castle with a mother for Rose. Good read.
